How The Discseel® Procedure Treats Neck Pain

Your cervical spine includes more than just your neck—it affects your shoulders, arms, and the muscles between your shoulder blades.

At our clinic, we specialize in treating complex cervical issues, attracting patients worldwide. Many of our patients have had multiple neck procedures, including surgery, without finding relief until they discovered the Discseel® Procedure.

Benefits of the Discseel® Procedure

Unlike cervical fusions, which can damage adjacent discs and have limited long-term success, the Discseel® Procedure has a much higher success rate. Research shows our procedure has a success rate more than twice that of cervical fusions.

  • Accurate Diagnosis: MRIs often miss the source of pain. We use precise diagnostic injections to identify issues.

  • Expert Review: If disc issues are detected, we personally review your MRI and plan your Annulogram™ test.`

Consultation

During your in-person consultation, you'll have the opportunity to speak with the physician who will be conducting your Discseel® Procedure. We prioritize ensuring your confidence in the procedure, and we'll address all your questions and concerns before proceeding.

Annulogram

The Annulogram™ is a comprehensive procedure designed to pinpoint the source of your pain with precision. It is specifically geared towards identifying whether your discs, whether they appear normal or abnormal on MRI scans, are leaking. Any issues that may have been overlooked by an MRI will be revealed through the Annulogram™.

Treatment

Throughout the Discseel® Procedure, your physician will administer a substance called fibrin into your damaged disc, effectively sealing it. Fibrin is an FDA-approved biologic derived from human blood. The entire procedure is closely monitored using live x-rays to ensure accuracy and precision.

Recovery

Following the Discseel® Procedure, most patients are able to walk within the first 24 hours. The healing process of your damaged disc begins immediately after the procedure and continues steadily over the next 12 months.

The Discseel® Procedure Vs. Spinal Fusion

For decades, physicians have often advised spinal fusions to patients, only for many of these procedures to result in failure. These surgeries, which can significantly impact quality of life, have unfortunately contributed to some of the highest rates of surgical failures and opioid dependency among patients undergoing surgery. So why aren't doctors recommending a procedure with higher success rates instead? The answer is straightforward. On average, a patient undergoing spinal fusion surgery represents a substantial financial value to insurance companies, ranging between $250,000 and $750,000 over the patient's lifetime.

However, it was the high failure rates of spinal fusions that ultimately led to the development of the Discseel® Procedure. So how do these two procedures compare? Here are some key facts:

  • In over 40% of patients that receive a spinal fusion, the fusion does not address the long term source of the pain

  • At least 1/3 of all spinal fusion patients need a second or third fusion of their spine within 10 years

  • The Discseel® Procedure has been successful in permanently relieving back pain in 70% of patients that had a previous failed spinal procedure, such as a spinal fusion

Neck Pain Conditions That The Discseel® Procedure Has Successfully Treated

Degenerative Discs

Degenerative discs often occur due to wear and tear on the spine. The Discseel® Procedure, however, offers a regenerative approach. It effectively seals disc tears and promotes growth to heal previously damaged discs.

Annular Tear

Injuries of this nature can develop over the span of decades and are challenging to heal due to the poor blood circulation within the disc. Thankfully, the Discseel® Procedure offers a solution by aiding in the repair of this damage.

Herniated Disc

Contrary to previous beliefs, disc herniation itself isn't the direct cause of pain. Rather, it's the leakage associated with herniated discs that triggers inflammation and discomfort. With the Discseel® Procedure, you can reclaim a pain-free life and engage in activities you enjoy without limitations. Discover whether this transformative procedure is the right choice for you.
